You're welcome, Jane. I believe you've an innate talent for writing poetry. You must explore it more.

Thanks so much, Joy! I started out with writing fiction when I was very young. I started at Substack here in March and it was all non fiction, then last summer I experimented with poetry. Now I’m hooked

You're welcome. I was hooked to your poem.😝 What made you start writing poetry?

Thanks, Joy! Not sure. I wrote one last summer and started to add imagery and making it rhyme here and there and I was hooked.

Really? I did the same. Started rhyming words and it became something. This was the first one. https://substack.com/@joydeepbiswas/note/c-75715619

Wow, this story is really gripping.

Simple, linear, effective, sometimes predictable, but it never leaves you until the end.

Very good, Jane.

Thanks so much, Riccardo! Maybe, I’ll try something like this again. Not my usual type of writing

Thanks so much! I always feel like I'm taking away from the true artists and photographers when I see it that way. My mom was an artist and an art teacher. I've always admired that quality.

Not all all. Honestly, that’s why we are here because a lot of Artist feel the same way and it’s not true. Everybody has a canvas to use. Not all artist use an actually canvas. Would love to see some of your mom’s work if you’re interested in sharing.

Years ago, my wife and I were at Sanibel Island, Florida. We got up early one morning before daylight to search for shells along the beach during high tide. When the sun came up, we looked around and didn't see anything familiar. We started walking in the opposite direction but during the darkness didn't realize how far we had walked. When we returned to the condo we showered and got back in bed. Next time we decided to use a timer to tell us when to go back.

Sanibel Island sounds beautiful and a nice walk. Sometimes you forget how far you walked. What a cool adventure though. Thanks for sharing!
