Physical and emotional pain can be tethered ! I believe in broken hearts. Ask an MD. It’s true. The loss of your dog can disrupt your health both bodily and mental . Be gentle with yourself .

Exactly what I was going to say. Sometimes physical pain is a manifestation of emotional pain or stress. It helps to talk lovingly to your body, as silly as it may sound.

Exactly! It's almost like parts of my body that hurt are foreign to me and the enemy if that makes sense?

Makes total sense. It helped me to talk to my body and work through my feelings.

Jane, I personally believe that physical and emotional pain are related. When I get depressed or overdue things, my body lets me know. It's time to slow down and take better care of myself.

Jane, I hope you're feeling better. Two years ago, my lower back went out. I never went to a doctor, so I'll never know why it happened.

(1 month, Jesus, I was walking like a 90 year old man.)

Get well, and I'm sorry about the dog passing, because I know you care for dogs...!

Thanks, Karl. Back problems are no fun for sure. I felt like I aged 20 years overnight.

I'm sure it had to do with lifting my dog when he wasn't doing well

I'm doing physical therapy and that seems to be helping, plus forced time off of work

Jane, I'm glad the therapy is working. Things take time, but time is also a healer...!

I think emotional.pain , can make the physical ailments follow . Grief is serious. No more twisty pretzel moves until things settle down . It's a hard time so take it slow. 💙✌️

All pain is pain, but when it's physical, it colors how you feel about everything. This week sucked big time for you in many ways. Take a rest, sleep more, and be very careful with your body. You are not that old, but joints have a way of wearing out when they want to, and they will be sure to tell you. That goes for eyes, too. I know how you are missing your dog on top of all of that, and there's no way to salve that right now. Go ahead and mourn him, but also remember all the good times you had together. You can't see him, but he's right over there!

Sort of. No sciatica symptoms. Inflamation of si joint and muscle spasms. I had to lift my own dog up a few times the other day and that didn't help either.

I’m sure it didn’t! SI pain is no fun! Time to take it easy, maybe some heat, lots of rest.

Absolutely related! Take care of all that is hurting - the seen and the unseen, the grief from loss, the grief from a body that is no longer what it used to be. Some day you'll find peace. Not now. Just be.

At 73 I tell the younger generation you will reap what you sow. Too many injuries when I was younger. I always say, "Things that happen from an ill spent youth." Most of my aches and pains are from an accident that happened on the job about 15 years ago. Keep working out the "kinks" and you will feel better.

Oh dear one.... so sorry for your loss.... come to think of it the last time I hurt myself badly was when I was kneeling to bury our dear doggie and wrecked my knees and lower back.... I swear by my Chiropractor he works magic.

You are in my prayers for all those pains
