I think we all know in our guts what is within our boundaries for sharing and you don't need to explain why to anyone. You're awesome, Jane!

Hey, Jane

Absolutely there are Drafts just sitting....and for many of the reasons you described.

I think we change as writers (and humans).

The niche I created for my writing here 2 years ago doesn't necessarily suit what I've been writing of late. And thats ok.

I sat with it for a bit and finally convinced myself to be OK with changing it up.

That's interesting you mentioned about the niche. My has changed too here and changes again. That totally make sense. Thanks for stopping by to share!

I only have a challenge that needs posting in my drafts. You see I write exactly how I feel some days. I have some deep deep things to write about but I prefer writing on the day. I respect your decisions though. We are all different in our ways. That is what is so inspiring about substack. It is those little life's dark areas that make the appearance and throws us completely out of the water. I love those dark secret type of posts because they are real. So yes those dark poems appeal to me :-)

Thanks Brenda! I think those deep thoughts and moments make the most beautiful writing. Dark or light. It's real and Ai will never replace that

I would worry about you . Yet as therapist said to me better to tell all than hide it Jane. Yes I know it is hard telling all about bad health , Our lives , And dark places . All those choices are up to you , It is why I stopped writing about my life .For a few reasons . Hugs to you

Thanks, Mitch. I write about emotions we all have. It's how I work through things. Some writing I will keep to myself and my husband. The world doesn't need to see it all

I sort of understand Jane , Yet just asking you can get me in the sites im if don't want to answer here . My question is and I learned this the hard way , If hub loves you you love him why keep things quiet between you two . As long as you hold them in and same goes for him if he has any they make all feel guilty and sad at times .Yet it is all your choice I will always back you up . hugs and peace to you and family

I have a few drafts stashed away. There are two articles that I need to find the time and space to sit with. Still not comfortable putting actual prose out there. Sometimes I wish I had the courage to just let it out.

It's odd that I feel safer offering my form of poetry to the Substack universe than articles. Same goes for my attempts at combining it with my photography.

I think it all comes from the inspiration you have given me. You're the real thing. Authentic, genuine, and strong.

Right back atcha 🥰

I say post. 😄 Your poetry and photos are amazing. You can capture so much emotion with your poetry and photography. Not everyone can combine those two to create visual and emotional images :)

I say post!! Haha! You'll know the timing and it will fit

Poetry seems easier for myself to post as well. It's the imagery with it. Your posts and poetry are amazing and I am at an advantage to usually get first peek 😉
