Round 2 with knee injections
Yesterday I received my second knee gel injections
It was 6 months overdue. Insurance will cover only once a year, but I need it twice a year. Knees swelling daily. It sucks!
Hopefully this will add extra cushion to the bone-on-bone knee arthritis and shredded meniscus. This happens when your body ages and you overdo it. The past is the past, but it still stings.
What's next?
A PRP injection possible also I will seek another opinion or two. Possibly a knee replacement in the future. I’m not ready for that yet
Rest is work too
The doctor said to me “Take it easy for a few days.” His tone was knowing.
It's not easy for me to take it easy without being consumed by guilt. I hear the words lazy in my head. It's something I feel like I constantly have to prove that I'm not.
Those voices telling me I'm lazy from long ago and I'm the one keeping it alive in my mind. I feel like I need a lifetime to prove “them” and myself wrong.
So, this weekend I am off of work. I'm thankful I added 2 more pet sitters to my business this summer. I am blessed beyond words to have them working with me
Yoga bench! Best invention ever. It's been 6 months since I've been able to do a true handstand. I still think it looks like my head is in a potty chair. Now you can't unsee it right? Haha!
This is 55. I keep trying. I’m not giving up yet. My ego won’t either ;)

Rest used to be a "four letter word" for me, for sure. Now that's what I consider the word "lazy." The shame and judgment that word drips with is awful. And completely unnecessary. We're not human doings, we're human beings! We're allowed to rest when we need to! I invite you to give yourself permission.
I love the headstanders, they are so fun! I had one years ago that someone gifted me, it wasn't nearly as sturdy and beautiful as what you have. They are so much fun! And inversions with less effort is totally the way to go, in my mind. Heal up, Jane! You've got this!
You're doing great! I cant believe I'll be 69 in month. Ridiculous...surely I must be 28! 😂😂 Those knee injections really work.... my friend gets them and it's a game changer! Have a good weekend and keep on rockin' it!
