What a fun trip down memory lane. I remember lots of the 70s items especially that plastic baby thing on the table. My mom had one similar for my sister. I think we are same age I started kindergarten in 1974 too. I'm really glad to be part of one of the last generations to not grow up online or digital.

Thanks Patricia! The metal car seats were even better, remember those. I'm glad to be part of that generation way before the digital age took over

Hmmmm, I don't remember metal car seats. I don't remember my sister being in any car seat. Not to say that she wasn't, I just don't remember.

My sister and I I'm sure didn't have any car seat, but I my brother was born in 1972 and he did. Seat was right up front between mom and dad 🙄. Times have changed. About 6 of us used to sit in back of station wagon too with no seat belts

Thanks. My mom converted her old slides to disk before she passed away. I'm so thankful she did

That’s great! I always wanted to find someone to do that with my VHS tapes.

This is so cool that you are back in your childhood home! I remember paneling and console TV's...and Stuckey's! We never had a house...always rented. The first house I ever had was one I bought myself. And were you ever a cute little girl! Thanks for sharing your great memories! ❤️✌️

Thanks! My parents had the house built and it was a dirt road and surrounded by fields and farms. Now a busy road with a traffic light. The area built up so much in 50 years. Luckily a golf course replaces the farm in back

Stuckeys @susanspeaks do you know if they are still around??

From the Stuckey’s web site: “Currently, Stuckey’s has over 60 licensed locations throughout the United States. Some locations are still the old-time stores you remember from childhood, while we have also partnered with state-of-the-art travel plazas. Stores are located as far north as Connecticut, as far south as Florida, and as far west as Texas and Missouri.” Now I want a praline pecan! 😂

That was my next step to Google lol. Yes I-95, South of the Border signs and Stuckey’s all part of a road tri. I never tried the praline though. Sounds yummy!

Hey...since we're on the topic of road trips, Tim and I went to this place and laughed till we cried. https://www.uranusgeneralstore.com Just off Interstate 44 on Route 66. Who thinks this stuff up? 🤦‍♀️😂

I think my parents had the same electric can opener you guys had (seen in the photo of you doing dishes)! Funny how they had an electric one but my husband and I use a manual.

I think the manual can openers work better sometimes. The electric ones always break
