The scroll of life? There are so many names, events, and memories. Not every one of those is precious. Disconnecting from the non-relevant events/memories is not disconnecting from life, it brings back the younger heart.

Old age is for the Old, Youth is for the young, but;

NOTHING IN LIFE STOPS YOU FROM HAVING FUN...!

Middle age. (Is the glass half empty or half full) ?

IT'S HALF FULL JANE

Jane, this poem is a mirror to the modern soul—aching, scrolling, searching. But here's the thing: what if the scrolling, the endless loops, is just a desperate attempt to replace something primal? Touch. How many times did we touch our partner, our friend, our child yesterday? And how many times did we touch a screen? It’s like we’re trying to feel something—anything—through the haptic buzz of a device. But it’s not the same, is it? Your words cut through that numbness and remind us of what we’re really missing: Human touch. Connection. This is powerful stuff. Thank you!

I do miss the sparkle in a person's eyes when they are close to you. Seeing something for the first time and knowing a picture and description will not express what you see or feel. Scrolling and momentarily glancing at a photo then moving on when the person who took the picture is trying to make you feel what they smell, feel and see for a moment but most of us take a quick look then scroll on by.

Yes, I agree with this so much. It has caused us as humans not to really see those closest to us also. As humas we have the attention span of a guppy (yes, it’s true!). Thanks so much for commenting, Paul
