Thanks so much, Mitch. Mental illness is painful, even in a fictional character. I'm sorry if you were triggered. Sometimes my own writing triggers me. Have you been able to read or listen to my earlier chapters?
There will be some interesting plot twist and character developments in the next few chapters
No need to say your sorry Jane . I think it is a great story .I want you to keep going on it .I understand about writing can sometimes trigger things. Yet one of my best therapists ever once said if you know about something not good read about it and it doesn't trigger at all you have lost your emotions . I am not all the way caught up Jane but have read most . hugs and peace
But also, it’s a good story. I love the MC’s emotional range and how quickly he shifts from feeling one way to another based on someone’s reaction. I definitely learned a ton about the universe. And I have more questions than ever. I probably should’ve kept reading this story—I just couldn’t remember which profile it was under, but I read it a while back and I liked it. I’ll keep going with mine. You’ve inspired me. Tremendously. So many stories within stories within stories. Wow. And this is how art begets art. I love creative sharing.
Thanks! I will! I want to post something here that’s about something Anne Lamott said that I didn’t learn the first time I heard it in August (I have to learn lessons twice it seems, but the second time around, things that happen, soooo nice when it lands), and I want to share that with the lesson I learned from you and how I dialed it in. And it’s a great example of how art of all kinds (including AI if you don’t support that crafty, uber creative tool 😉) can really mirror life. It’s supposed to. We mirror and reflect in our art, and if we don’t accept ourselves, we are afraid to mirror what we know is on the inside that we are afraid to share—like our heart’s desire, or that we are afraid to see, like our shame. May I always be amazed at how you pull these things out of me. 🤩 🫶✨ (that last bit was the epiphany)
You’re good at it. You know how to plot, that is quite true. And I’ll say…I think it’s good when characters are messy. It makes them real. So I like that this guy has his madness, too. Seeing it on the page like this makes me more forgiving of my humanity. We really are such characters, aren’t we?
There was a meme…hang on, I’ll post it on my page if I can find it, but that says, “I don’t ‘write’ my characters, I just watch them do stupid shit and write up the incident report.” My god it’s so true. 🤣
No worries at at. I appreciate you reading this. It's still in and draft. In case you want to catch up here's the link . I also posted in a comment as well. I hope you have a better day ❤️
I don’t think that’s how it’s going to happen for him. He seems smart enough to know that his Angel might panic, but when she figures it out and stops seeing fear, she understands. And apologizes. Again.
I am sorry for flying off the handle. But the things that hurt and felt manipulative were scary. I know people just wanted to help. But I think his Angel needs to be heard when she speaks. She’s been spoken over and pushed down her entire life. But I’m sorry for my mistakes. And I ask forgiveness. Please. 😔
I love how this story is unfolding! These kinds of mystery novels are my favourite and I’ll definitely buy a copy once it’s published 😊
Thanks so much, Darcy! This had been so fun to write. You made my day 😊
Great story so far Jane , brings back some rough times but is really way life can be to some . hugs and peace to you and family

Also, thanks for the encouragement. This is the first chapter story I've written in 30 years!!!

Thanks so much, Amy! I appreciate your support
Always! I still haven’t had a chance to read. But I’m dying to 🤩
You'll love it. Lots of character development and plot twists. I know some of it could be triggering for some

Thanks so much. I've always enjoyed character development. Sometimes they take over the story and do what they want, if that makes sense

I'm so sorry if you felt triggered. I appreciate you reading and adding your insight. I'm not sure if you had the chance to read my first 10 chapters. Here's the link https://janedeegan.substack.com/p/links-the-scripted-stalker?r=pgla0
