I've always enjoyed reading biographies, and part of my journey as a photographer began when I was a small child looking through family photos and imagining stories of people I'd never met but had heard about from my parents.

I realized how much a picture can mean to us in terms of honoring those who are no longer with us. I really enjoyed this post because it is so universal, and you describe your father as a human being, despite the fact that his role in your life is wonderful.

Sometimes we get stuck in our expectations of our parents, forgetting that they are also people with lives outside of parenthood. Thank you for sharing this profound yet straightforward truth.

"My view of life had changed. Nothing in life is guaranteed, except this exact moment we are in now."

Nothing is more beautiful that a (good) father, I stress good, because I don't have a (good) father....But I'm really happy for you and your Dad....!

Thanks so much Katerina. I feel at this part of my life, mid-life I'm looking back at my life and trying to make sense of thing. Maybe it's normal to feel nostalgic this time of life.

I've always been interested too in older photos even as a child. I wondered about them, their stories we all have them

I have a few other autobiographies on my page I hope you can check out. One was before you were my mom. I wrote that on Mother's Day

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. I truly appreciate it
