I feel you Jane +10. My dad is gone since 1989. Our last Father’s Day was 1988 ! Where has the time gone ? He was a Navy Guy, a service man like your dad. There are lots and lots of memories. I miss his classic BBQs. It would be great to have him here now for a couple of beers talking about the chaos going on now. I wonder what exactly he would say and how it could compare to living in the then chaos of the 60s.
Pain of loss really does ease a little bit over time, but never totally goes away. I’m with you, some days are worse than others. That pain reminds me to remember the good times and never let the memories fade. After all, it’s something and those memories are all we have and should be cherished. Hugs 🤗🤗

Thank you, Ken!
Beautiful tribute to your Dad.
The special days aren’t easy at all without them.
And it doesn’t get better.
Thanks so much, Mariska! No, it doesn't get easier, and it hits like a ton of bricks sometimes.
Unfortunately yes.
You think you are OK, but subconsciously.
Big HUG to you!
So true. Thanks Mariska
