Partway through reading this I said to myself “I’ve been to this place.” Then I stopped reading and looked it up on Google. Yes! I have been there. I visit friends in PA every few years and they took me there one night! I actually drove (in the pouring rain, at night) so I could be designated driver for them. What a hoot! I remember going into some of the rooms. That stairway!
I have another real life ghost story about a house I pet sat in (overnight) a few years ago. The owners have since moved. She verified it is haunted!! I kept quiet for years thinking it was all in my head. Very bizarre encounters there.

Oh wow! It’s becoming a destination place, which is pretty cool. Can’t make myself do the haunted ghost tour though.
We have a haunted hospital that was closed years ago. I wish I could visit it at the witching hour! I love hauntings. Lovely post, Jane.

We have a haunted hospital too. An assyluymn that closed in the 80s. On Halloween they open to the public
Where in PA is this? My family still lives outside Philly.
Here in Wisconsin the town of Whitewater supposedly has a haunted history. They refer to themselves as “Second Salem.”
This is outside if Philly about an hour. Near the Reading area.
I never knew that about a second Salem I Wisconsin. It sounds interesting.
There is so much haunted history in the Philadelphia area, especially the city.
