I always say that I’m introverted extrovert. I love being around MY people. But socializing with large groups of strangers or people I know but don’t love makes me weak in the knees and/or exhausted and in desperate need of a recharge.
Introversion is not how quiet or loud you are, but how you restore your energy. People are always amazed that I am an introvert because of how well I have learned to "people." However, it does drain me and I need to be alone to renew myself. Introverts, I find, are internal processors and deep thinkers, rather than just saying whatever is top of mind. I think it's a superpower. 🤘
So true and agree. It is a super power!! I've had people oriented jobs like a hairstylist for years. I enjoyed the people as much the creativity. I am an owner of a pet sitting business, I see pets of course, but you have to know how to work with people too. I like my space to decompress, think and create. I do miss people now at my job, love seeing pets all day though. So much now is behind screens and virtual in our world that even this introvert misses in person interactions
I get that. Even introverts need people sometimes. That was a big lesson the pandemic gave us, I believe. We just need people in smaller doses and smaller groups.
I ain't quiet, everyone else is too loud!
Still waters run deep.
I wanted to add that quote, both of them. One of the many reasons why I love you. You get me
I totally get it.

I feel the same. I think it's about deciding who and what is important to you

Yes! Smaller doses for sure. I've come to value friendships more
