Some just don't want to dig up the past. They would rather the past dig a hole for them like a big mouth to eat them with.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece with us, Jane. This poem is so relatable. Despite the pain, it shows the importance of facing our emotions to grow. Just as in Inside Out 2, where sadness helps us understand those who love us and allows us to receive their love, this emotional release process is crucial to healing. It reminds us that sadness isn't just an emotion to be overcome but an essential part of connecting with others and experiencing love more deeply.

This is beautiful, Jane. Forgive yourself and move forward. It isn’t easy, but it’s necessary and the right step.

Thanks Rod. Sometimes you have to let it go, instead of burying it for years. Pushing away feelings don’t resolve them

This piece resonated with me. For some unknown reason as I was supposed to be napping, I re-revisited memories of my childhood and European travels. It was soothing since I am limited now in wandering.

Sometimes the past can really sting, but it is the past and our memories only see certain things, we can change that narrative and forgive ourselves for what we think we did wrong.

Thanks so much. It’s funny how it can take you by surprise, like this post did. I realized it was not as fictional as I thought. I love see your authentic posts too as always, especially your poetry (which I need to catch up on)
