Tired of the world. Yes, a good description. I’m with you on that right now.

My mom is so unplugged it is scary. They are getting rid of her hard line but adding a booster to the outside of the house so a cell phone will work. She didn't want a smart phone just a flip phone with big numbers (she is 97). She reminds me of a Sholin Monk living in solitude only catching her Arkansas Razorbacks playing on her television. Which reminds me, I need to call her and let her know where and when they are playing tonight.

Jane, I think once in a while, we all need to hide from what’s outside and in. When things get to be too much for me, which seems to be happening a lot due to my own fault for saying yes to everyone and everything.

I like to take a break sit down with a good book and get lost in it. Turning off the phone and just enjoying time by myself.

I agree. We need to take the time before it overwhelms and burns is out.

Me too Jane. Me too.

That's wonderful that she is independent like especially at 97. It can be stressful when you want to get in contact with her. It's good she has a flip phone. It sounds like she has a happy life!
