I’m a free subscriber, and just found SubStack about a month or so ago. Something you wrote caught my eye so I followed you. I find myself on here several times a day. I follow a bunch of people so that I can see many different viewpoints on different things, but it’s mostly our current horrendous political situation that has me looking for guidance, answers, and most importantly, like-minded people and community.
This is my one-year as well! I started it two years ago but only posted a few times. I’ve posted every week for the past year. Congratulations on your year!
I'm happy to hear your story and your motivation to continue.
I've been on Substack for about the same amount of time.
I try to be present on other platforms, and my multilingual approach probably slows me down, especially on Substack.
But I realize that this is exactly where I should channel the best of my resources.
The community is truly amazing. It's maybe a little more complex to get into, compared to other platforms. But it's definitely worth it.
And then I'm also in my second part of life, and I've finally decided to dedicate it entirely to writing. I should have done it many years ago. But that's how it went, and there's no point in thinking about it anymore.
Now we still have many years of writing before we sleep.
Thank you so much for the happy message, my friend.
Thanks so much, Riccardo! I'm glad you found this community and the multilingual approach has to be a challenging. Writing for the second part of life. That's a great perspective
Congratulations! I can confirm that your welcome page says you've been here a year (I'm a subscriber, but I have to do a weird workaround to log in online, and that brought me to your welcome page). I'm looking forward to your essays again. I've enjoyed your poems, but when I signed up, you were writing mostly essays.
I just reached 10 months on Substack. I started writing here because I didn't like how perimenopause & menopause health information has traditionally been presented, and I thought it could be done better. I've been having so much fun and have met so many wonderful people.
I'm happy to celebrate this achievement with you and wish you continued enjoyment and success!
Congrats on the year. Although I’m not sure of my exact date, we are in the same neighborhood. I’m glad we have connected and look forward to more stories and lots of interaction. Good luck moving ahead and reaching your goals.
Hi Jane, I started my Substack in Feb 2024, so we have been in this space for the same time. Like you, I find this community fabulous and the writing is a therapy of sorts. My writing has evolved too, and my handle pretty much sums up what I write about: grief, gratitude, love and laughter — which was instigated by the illness and death of my life partner. I guess the anchor of my writing is that I write through the lens of the soul. Thank you. 🙏 😊
Thanks for stopping by. I just subscribed and I have some posts I saved! Writing is therapy for sure. Isn't it interesting how writing evolves? I'm looking forward to reading some of your work
Jane, I'm so excited for you! Congratulations on your accomplishment of one-year and yay for having a thriller in the works. I appreciate you and your writing.
You my friend ,Have done great on here .I learned many things from you and love reading your posts and of course the scripted stalker . I could only teach about anxiety and depression and maybe womenapause lol. hugs to you
I came here because I was told to try doing a newsletter and this was the best (free) place to learn... I am so happy I did and I think its been over a year for me too. Feb last year I believe. NO regrets!
Thanks so much, Heidi! I appreciate you. So many times I feel like I jump around too much with my writing styles, but that's the fun of it. I'm glad we connected here
Congratulations on hitting a year! I only started a little before you, January of 2024, although I have been blogging for years, first on Blogger, Google's site, then on WordPress, where I host my website for my yoga business. I joined Substack a year ago January and it's been the first time to actually get interaction with readers, which I love. I love the comments, the shares, the inspiration that I've found here on Substack. It's the only social media I currently use and I will never go back. Reading thoughtful essays and poetry is what keeps me here, and why I keep sharing my posts about yoga and being over 50. That's why I love what you write as well, Jane. I'm behind on your novel, but I hope to catch up soon. I'm really enjoying it! 💜
Thanks Janine for sharing your journey. Your posts are one the go to's for me! I appreciate you doing a guest post with me last year! This is the social media platform I use the most as well. Fb and IG are mostly business
I appreciate your support!! I'm glad we connected here
I first heard about Substack through a publication by the name of Prompts from the Void a little over 2 years ago. It took me a while before I created an account here.
As time went on, as I was reading other people's accounts of autism and related conditions, an idea popped into my head - why don't I share my story? After all, sharing stuff helps to build a narrative as to the challenges that we face. It took me a while to build up the courage to do so, but eventually in October of 2023 I created my publication, The Autistic Muse.
And congrats on your anniversary of your publication!

Congratulations. I started last year but had a massive gap where work became too demanding. Nice to see you doing well.
Hi, Jamie. Welcome back! It's great seeing you on here writing again. It's tough when life's demands get in the way
