I remember when I was a lot younger and living in the Arkansas Delta, the sun would be coming up while I was getting my tractor ready for the day ahead. I would climb up on the tractor. This was the time of loud engines with the muffler about four feet in front of your face, with no cab. Somedays I didn't know what was hotter, the sun baking down on my hat or the heat blowing in my face. I may have not liked it that much then, but I miss it now.
The past can sometimes be a parasite in our minds. All we can do is battle it with acceptance and forgiveness, which is no easy task.
The shining light of a new day always helps! 🌄
Parasite is the perfect word. It stays alive if we feed it. Starve, accept and forgive. Wish it were easier.
Remember a pasite does not survive without a host!
Amen
Oh the past… that old smelly woolly jumper… used to be a comfort now a dredge.
The past can be heavy… put it down and walk briskly into the new day…
Just keep those happy memories.
Yes, it can be!
Oh, I’ve been there Jane! Yawning into my tea is one of my finest qualities!
Usually crying but today yawning 😂
Clever way to clear the past. Thank you.
Thanks @Prajna O'Hara !
I appreciate you reading and commenting here as well!
Beautiful, just beautiful, Jane.
Thanks so much, C.J.!
You’re more than welcome, Jane.
This is beautiful, Jane. <3 <3
Thanks so much, Rea! It came to me when I was scribbling in my notebook yesterday!

If only we could borrow a little summer warmth for now!
I bet those sunrises were amazing though.
