His Rissa was home again. If he had to, Barney decided he would sit and wait all night to make sure she was okay. Disappointed, he watched as another woman went into the house with her. He sighed. His plan had been foiled once again. Turning the key to start his car he reminded himself that his plan would come into place, like it had for Natalia. This time he would not lose his true love.

Detective Reed looked at the lab report. It was a match! The hair that was on the boat matched Dr. Amanda Greer’s DNA. At the same time, he knew that it wouldn’t hold up as Amanda was more than likely on the boat at a different time.

From more digging he learned that Amanda and Steve had been married for a short time.

It appeared that their marriage had dissolved a few months before Natalia Novita’s disappearance and death.

It was more interesting to Douglass that Natalia and Steve were also seeing each other for a short time. From the timeline he was piecing together, it seemed to coincide with the time when he was married to Amanda Greer.

Through video footage at several businesses, Natalia and Steve had been seen together close to the time that Natalia was found missing. Could Steve have killed Natalia as a way to get Amanda back? Was there a secret he was hiding?

Douglass knew that time was of the essence as the case was re-opening soon. He also knew that the investigations with Tad Gibbens and Dr. Amanda Greer had uncovered many parallels to the Natalia Novita case.

Steve now had a solid clad alibi for that night Natalia was murdered. Where was Amanda that night?

He needed to find out if she did, in fact, have an alibi. It was surprising to Douglass that Amanda had never been questioned in the case.

According to forensics, Natalia had met her fate between 9 p.m. and 12 p.m. that evening.

There was footage to be checked at Natalia’s apartment building. More digging. There was also video footage at the marina from that night where the boat was docked, but the camera appeared to “not be working” at the time.

Douglass headed over to the condominiums where Dr. Amanda Greer lived. He knew from past experience video footage could be recorded over and he wondered if this was the case. There were also doorbell cameras from her neighbors that he needed to investigate.

Hopefully he would get some leads.
