The goals are sometimes hard to achieve but working for them is sometimes hard. I used to run every morning before sunrise when I was in high school. Being raised in the country it meant running down a road that was not only dark but made out of gravel. Achieving a goal, for me, meant wounds from falling on the gravel and suppressing fear from running in little to no light. Did I achieve all my goals? Not all of them, but at 74 I feel good about knowing that I did my best.

Running on gravel is never easy! Kudos for you! I don't think we ever achieve all of our goals and I don't think we are supposed to

This is definitely something I’ve struggled with. But, I’m happy to say that I’ve finally found peace. Not that the self defeating thoughts don’t try to sneak in! But it seems at 47, the closer I get to 50, the easier it becomes.
