Sunrise in my eyes
hope for the new day
it all seems possible, for a moment
I want this illusion to stay
It’s a chilly August morning
white hoodie
readers on top of glasses
not a pretty sight
yes, middle age
A hummingbird, hovers in the tree above
in this big world
it’s small quiet beauty could be unseen
when you do get a glimpse
you are captivated
and then it’s gone
The sun filters through a tree
beyond that it used to be a field
geese on the pond
greeting the new day
soon you will be chased away
For now, this new day fills me with hope
I know it is fleeting
maybe today it won’t be
I cling to that for now
It’s all we have
So true. I keep trying and "reeling myself in" if that makes sense
No matter what is happening around us… each day is a welcome. Opens us up to beautiful possibilities as we step into each moment. Lovely poetic thoughts Jane in just being present. No expectations. Simply the world's arms be the moment's embrace.
