Shark's Eyes
Waters that seemed calm
Once upon a time the water was rough
blue water ahead
it could be unsafe
so beautiful
he felt alive
so he took a dive
Then the water turned to blood
He couldn’t breathe
He couldn’t get out
now he was found out
He was bit
yet, he found a way out of it
Now he is older and wiser
He would dip his feet again
The water came up higher
They wouldn’t call him a liar
but the sharks weren’t near
So there was nothing to fear
“It’s OK. Go ahead,”
the wind whispered seductively
“You can get out in time.”
He walked in deeper
his legs got stuck
He was out of luck
It was too late
he would find his fate
the sharks eyes were cold
so many stories untold.

eeeek. This is more than a story about a shark. Really enjoyed this apart from the yukkie feeling re sharks. Startling yes! But the message is clear. Thanks for sharing.
