The Ring meets Blair Witch.
What is liminal photography? What are liminal spaces? They are photos that evoke, transition, unease, loneliness and odd sense of nostalgia.
This school looks vaguely familiar, maybe from your childhood? You've been there, right?
Hallways are liminal because they are transitional. The lighting I used gives it a surreal feeling.
A lonely park bench. Liminal photos are devoid of people and pets (not sure if that is a bird though). This was taken before we had an eclipse last spring.
A church at night. Do the empty pews, that are devoid of humans cause this feeling?
Usually, snowy photos aren't liminal (or so they say) but isn't there something eerily nostalgic about this?
Great photos, Jane!!
Great photos, Jane. Thanks for the education!
