Life's storms - a poem
Let's weather them together
We walked paths
separate yet parallel
struggles so close
yet we weathered them alone
for so long
Until one day we stopped
and took each other’s hand
to continue down life’s path together, again
Please know I get you.
You get me.
We will never truly understand all of each other
The spaces between
leaves room for growth
and wonder.
How can someone understand more
that hasn’t weathered the storms
that wasn’t in the trenches
that we only saw in the sun
in the right angles
not during the many storms?
That is the beauty of true love
Not from what it seemed above
We need a break from pain
for now, we will have to dance in the rain
it may be our only chance
as we wait for the storms to pass

I have this sign in my bathroom….Instead of waiting for the storm to pass….I choose to dance in the rain!
That is so beautiful. I like the idea of having a group of people who are also going through pain that no one else understands until they also go through it.
