A busy Monday, but I promised you weeks ago we would have our special day. The day got away from me. As a middle we’ve heard that so often. I promise I won’t let bigger items and smaller tasks get ahead of you. You understand, right?
I’m glad you do! Maybe that’s because you are used to being flexible. You go with the flow. You are a mediator! You are special! I am special. It’s our day!
Yes, we have a syndrome! Sure, the oldest and youngest will also say they have a syndrome too…but wait! Today is not about you!!

Celebrate us! We are peacemakers and negotiators. We are highly motivated by social causes. We are justice seekers. Me! We side with the underdogs (also me!). Think of famous middle children like Nelson Mandela, Susan B. Anthony and Abraham Lincoln who also shared these qualities.

Who is the best match for a middle? The youngest! Followed by another middle child. Which birth order is my husband? He is a youngest child by almost 8 years. So, after 36 years of marriage it looks like the statistics are correct for us.

Gosh, I'm so humbled. I've never been the center of attention before let alone a whole day celebrating me. I'm smack in the middle between two sisters.
I was a middle a couple times and the youngest a couple times. Yes, I’m a true red headed step child times 6. lol
