I let my bulldog Cleatus spend time with Peaches after I had to have her put down due to cancer. It was a sad few minutes, but he even helped us through it. He passed away about a year later of natural causes but they both lived long lives and were part of our family for years.

Our pets grieve too and it sounds like you were able to grieve together. They need us and we need them too.
