The cats are banging at the door
I can’t sleep anymore
I let the dog out
break up a fight
cat after dog
What is his plight?
Ah, an empty food bowl to fill
and the dog needs a pill
Paper towels on the floor
So, I implore
To cover a hairball, I’m informed
Lingering cough I hear
my worries turn to fear
I care. I absorb
A mother to all
I will not fall
I hold my breath
everyone is out the door
Soon I can exhale
Coffee is now cold
It’s time for the next part of my day to unfold
The cats allowed you to put them outside the door?
Adorable poem and the photos are, too! Thank you, Jane.
